📌 On Friday 27, October, 2023 at Hotel Glorious–Veles, an event was held within the Floodshield Project on the occasion of the “International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction”.
At the event, the project partners the Ministry of the Environment and Physical Planning / Ministria e Mjedisit Jetësor and PH (PP3) and the Directorate for Protection and Rescue (PP4) promoted the goals and activities of the project, as well as the Flood Self-Protection Guide.
📌 The project team in charge of continuing education worked to increase awareness of prevention and reduce disaster risks among the most vulnerable category–children in primary schools.
📌 Through play, questions and exercises, children from the primary schools in Veles learned how to act before, during and after the floods.
➡️ One of the goals of the project is to educate, inform and raise awareness about the protection and rescue of vulnerable categories from flood hazards.
