The 2nd JFRMG Meeting, hosted by the Lead Beneficiary, the Decentralised Administration of Macedonia & Thrace, took place on the 12th of July, at the International Centre for Digital Transformation and Digital Skills.
The Meeting’s main goal was to promote efficient collaboration regarding cross-border flood risk managment, in the area of Axios/ Vardar river. The meeting was focused on the approval of JFRM group’s scope of operation and responsibilities.
Having the scope of operation, finalised and approved by the JFRM members, a wider discussion was initiated under the aim of having a common better understanding of the cross border area (soil, waters, vulnerability, dams, telemetric stations etc.) and the way of operation of civil protection in case of a flood in both sides of the borders. A fruitful discussion that set the framework for the ones to come!
